Dear all departments from SVA,

The graduates of 2020 are the most challenging ones. We might not get the chance to have a physical graduation, the career fairs were canceled so was the industry review. So we started asking ourselves this question: “Are we ready to step into the real world and are we fully prepared?”.

For the benefit of ourselves and everyone else, we formed a group of 16 people from different SVA departments. After more than a month of hard work, we are proud to present our proposal to our school: SVA Memory Dispenser (https://www.instagram.com/sva_memory_dispenser/)

What is SVA Memory Dispenser?
Time flies. 2020 graduates are destined to be the most memorable ones. We still have too many words to say, things we want to do, memories we want to hold on to. But how?

Based on our previous survey of social media usage habits among SVA student groups, we chose to open our account on Instagram. SVA Memory Dispenser is for the class of 2020 to share their stories and present their work.

What‘s the insight?
Sharing memories is the original intention of this project. During our time as students at SVA, our memories are closely tied to items we use and see in our daily lives. It might be a cup of coffee that you wake up to or the lamp that has been through sleepless nights with you. As to visual solution, we express each person's unique memory by using vending machines and items to present them. We will then use this opportunity to not only share a cherished memory of our students but also promote their portfolio or personal works.

How‘s the progress?
Up to the time of the final mailing, all preliminary preparations have been completed.
From March 28 (Saturday) onwards, we will continue to push updates and provide graduation memorial service for Class 2020 and instructors.

Finally, we hope to get more attention and promotion from the school, let more students participate in our project, and invite more people to see our work.

In honor of everyone around us who works hard for dreams.

Sincere gratitude,
